Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Klyp (“Klyp”, “we”, “us”) provides AI-assisted video clipping, captioning, and rendering. Contact: klyp.clipping@gmail.com. These terms are governed by Swedish law and EU consumer regulations.

2. Service

Klyp turns long-form video into short clips automatically. The service is offered as-is and may change as we add features or fix issues. We do not guarantee any specific clip output, viral score, or commercial result.

3. Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable use

• You may only upload content you own or have explicit permission to clip.
• No illegal, infringing, abusive, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
• No content involving minors in a sexual or exploitative context — accounts will be terminated and reported.
• No attempts to reverse-engineer the service, bypass credit limits, or scrape user data.
• No automated bulk uploads outside the official API.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

5. Credits and plans

Plans grant a monthly credit balance. One credit is consumed per minute of source video processed (rounded up, minimum one credit per project). Unused credits do not roll over between billing cycles. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your billing settings. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

6. Free tier and trial usage

Every account gets free credits to test the full pipeline before paying. Use them. The free tier shows you exactly what the paid product produces, only with a watermark and at preview resolution, so you know what you are buying.

7. Right of withdrawal (ångerrätt) — Swedish/EU consumers

Under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act (Distansavtalslagen 2005:59), consumers in the EU normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal when buying digital services online.

Express consent and waiver: Klyp is a digital service that is delivered immediately. When you subscribe to a paid plan you actively confirm that:

• You want the service to start immediately, before the 14-day withdrawal period ends.
• You acknowledge that by starting to use the service (e.g. processing a video, downloading a clip), you lose the right of withdrawal under chapter 2 § 11 of the Distance Contracts Act.

If you have not used any paid features and contact us within 14 days of your first paid charge, we will refund the most recent charge. We log all credit usage, so this is verified automatically.

8. Refund policy

Beyond the statutory withdrawal right above, we operate a fair, transparent refund policy:

• Service didn’t deliver: if a project fails for technical reasons on our side and we can’t fix it within 72 hours, we credit back the credits used and, on request, refund the proportional share of your subscription.
• Accidental renewal: if your subscription renewed and you didn’t use any credits in the new period, contact us within 7 days and we will refund the renewal in full.
• Already used credits: credits that have been spent on rendered clips are non-refundable, since the underlying compute, storage and AI inference cost has been incurred.
• Plan changes: upgrade or downgrade at any time from the billing page. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal.

For any refund question, email klyp.clipping@gmail.com with your account email and what happened. We respond within one business day.

9. Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. We can almost always solve the issue faster directly. Chargebacks initiated without contacting us first may result in account suspension while the dispute is investigated.

10. Intellectual property

You keep full ownership of your uploads and the clips Klyp generates from them. You grant Klyp a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, process, transcribe and render your content for the sole purpose of delivering the service to you. We do not use your content to train AI models.

11. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance and unplanned outages may occur.

12. Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by Swedish law, Klyp’s total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. This does not limit any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

13. Changes

We may update these terms with at least 14 days’ notice via email. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance. If the change materially affects your rights, you may cancel and request a pro-rated refund of the unused period.

14. Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Consumers can also turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna Reklamationsnämnden, ARN, www.arn.se) or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Court disputes are resolved in the courts of Stockholm.
